What percentage of your home&#8217;s cost goes towards the mechanical systems?\u00a0These are fair questions that are sometimes hard to answer. Andy Stauffer, however, recently contributed to an article on Realtor.com explaining the way he likes to break down a home&#8217;s cost to answer these questions, and more. Here&#8217;s an excerpt:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;Kitchens and bathrooms are the most expensive rooms to build, especially when the average cost for finishes like cabinets and countertops alone is $16,056.
